Team Building From Six Feet Apart and more…
Hello facilitator friends!
Last Saturday several local facilitators here in the Colorado area got together to brainstorm different activities that would work well with physical distancing.  I’m excited to share several activities with you in a free Zoom session tomorrow!
Upcoming Opportunities:
Team Building from Six Feet Apart:  Activities and Ideas for In-Person team building with physical-distancing considerations.  Thursday, June 11, 3:00pm MST / 5:00pm ET  Register here!  Free, no cost.  Just like my first several Virtual Team Building Activities Sessions, this webinar will be jam-packed with lots of ideas for activities we can facilitate with in-person events keeping participants at least six-feet apart.  There will be a handout to download as well.  We also have two sign-language interpreters that will be assisting me during the session.   There are already over 800 people registered and my Zoom account will allow for up to 1,000 people in the session.  Even if you can’t join me live you can still register and will get access to the recording and handout.
90-minute Play to Learn Word Circle Puzzle Event, June 17 at 4:00pm MST or June 18 at 9:00am MST.  Register Here!I’m assisting Chris Cavert as he leads a 90-minute Word Circle Puzzle Event next week.  He has come up with a fantastic event and package for facilitators.  These Word Circle Puzzles can be done with Virtual Teams or with In-Person Teams.  We piloted it last week with a few facilitators and it went great!  Here’s what you can expect:90-minute Play-to-Learn Session – small group Breakout Room interaction & practice12 Never-Seen-Before Word Circle Puzzles presented in a less-to-more challenging sequence10 Never-Seen-Before ‘Special’ Word Circle Puzzles – “Invisible Links” and “Missing Words”  5 Picture Word Circle Puzzles – the pinnacle super-challenge.Discussion related to applications and outcomes for your groups, middle school and olderBehind the scenes look at how to get the most out of this ultimate slide deck.Assets Package: Workshop Video Replay, Facilitator Guidebook (download) with Puzzle Answer Keys and some BONUS Materials.  Q & A session after the workshop.Register Here!
Facilitator Scavenger Hunt   –  Register HereSeveral people have emailed me wishing they would have joined us for one or both of the Facilitator Scavenger Hunts I lead.  Good news!  You can still play!  However it will be on your own.  For $20 you will get access to the recording of the event, the Onboarding PPT slide deck and a copy of the ‘back side’ of the Scavenger Hunt so you can replicate your own.  Scavenger Hunt #1 is a 7-Clue hunt and celebrates World Diversity Day.  Scavenger Hunt #2 is a 9-Clue hunt and is an Ode to the Rubber Chicken.  Both will teach you how to build out your own hunts.  If you were going to pick one or the other, I would select Scavenger Hunt #2 as I worked out a few kinks between the first and second experience.  The ‘how to build your own’ part of the recording is much better on the second hunt.  Whether you want to learn how to build one or if you are just looking for a fun, social even with some friends, I promise you it will be a good time.
Here’s a quick testimonial from Anna DeMers, a facilitator from Wisconsin, “I am excited to have the skills to create a virtual scavenger hunt because I participated in Training Wheels’ two facilitator trainings!  I work with youth in a rural county, and the big event of the summer will be a virtual summer camp.  My plan is to integrate a scavenger hunt into the camp, as well as some stand along activities that I learned from Michelle.  It is great to be able to convert many activities that I have done in person to a virtual space so easily.  Without these trainings, I would have been lost as to where to find the technology and how to even start doing these things.  Thank you Michelle!”  (Thanks Anna!)
