New Podcast!
New Podcast!
Hello facilitator friends!
ANNOUNCEMENT!  I have SUCH a fun announcement to make….  My good friend and colleague Chris Cavert and I have been working behind the scenes the last few months on a new PODCAST!  We’ve used this odd time in history with social distancing to meet on Zoom and record multiple episodes of a new weekly podcast we’re calling, Ask Michelle & Chris About Team Building.  This weekly podcast will field questions from team builders all over the world.   Between the two of us, we have over 50 years of combined team building and training experience and have written over 20 publications. We both have traveled the world to help team builders get better at what they do best – lead powerful team building programs. I’m so excited!  Our first three Episodes are ready and waiting for you!  (and eight more in editing mode!)  We’re live on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcast, Spotify & Stitcher.  You can listen to, download and access the show notes to all available episodes at this link.  You can also find and subscribe to the podcast on your favorite podcast player – just search, ‘Ask Michelle & Chris’. And, please Rate and Review the podcast if you are using the Apple Podcasts player. Help us become the first result when people search for ‘team building’ podcasts. Thank you so much!
WHAT’S NEXT?  I’m working on LOTS of things behind the scenes.  As some states have started ‘re-opening,’ it’s caused quite the buzz around how we safely conduct programs once we get to start playing in the same room together again.  I have several Sessions scheduled in June for you to register for:
Post-Covid19 World:  Best Practices for Health, Hygiene and Physical-Distancing. Monday, June 1, 4:00pm USA MST  / June 2, 8:00am  Australia AESTI’ve been invited by Mark Collard of Playmeo to be a guest-panelist on a Live 60-minute Webinar conversation and discover what we know (so far) about implementing an effective response to COVID-19 in your school, workplace and outdoor program.  Four highly-experienced panelists – all of whom are navigating this brave new world, too – will share their current understanding of ‘best practice’ and discuss its practical application to one or more specific activities.  Expect to walk away with a clearer understanding of what your in-person programs could look like next week, next month and next year, and seek answers to some of your most challenging concerns and questions, too.  Register here!  Free, no cost.

3. Facilitator Scavenger Hunt – Round 2!  Thursday, June 43:00pm MST / 5:00pm ET Register here!  Registration:  $20We had A BLAST at last week’s first-ever Facilitator Scavenger Hunt.  We had so much fun I HAVE to host another one.  I’m going to build out a completely new hunt, so if you attended the last one and want more ideas for building out your own, join me again!  For $20 you will get access to the recording of the event, the Onboarding PPT slide deck and a copy of the ‘back side’ of the Scavenger Hunt so you can replicate your own. Here’s a fun Testimonial from one of the Scavenger Hunt attendees from last week:  “Michelle at Training Wheels has been incredibly collaborative and generous with her creative solutions for navigating the virtual team building environment. Within a few days of almost every organization telling its employees to work from home, Michelle had re-imagined and shared with the entire experiential learning industry how to design and facilitate impactful virtual team building programs. She’s provided amazing e-books and live training sessions on the topic for free, and more recently took over 200 participants through a live virtual scavenger hunt and then taught them how to create their own. The experience was so fun that my colleagues and I can’t wait to start building our own. It was a highly engaging way to connect with others in the industry, and I imagine the impact on teams working together would be even more significant. I’m always looking forward to seeing what Training Wheels will come out with next!”  ~ Steve Hinkel, IntuitThanks Steve!  HANDOUT ALERT!  If you are new to this newsletter and want to watch the recordings from the past three Zoom sessions on Virtual Team Building Games, you can find them on our YouTube Channel.  Feel free to hit the ‘subscribe’ button so you get a notification whenever we upload a new video!  Here is a link to the free downloadable handouts that accompany the workshops, including the most recent session on Virtual Team Building Activities – Part 3.  Feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested.
Best wishes to you and your loved ones to be healthy, safe and to be virtually connected.

Have fun out there,
