Training Wheels: Synchronous Virtual Activities & Online Course

The Spokesperson Newsletter from April 29, 2020

Hello facilitator friends!
Last week I lead another Zoom session on More Virtual Team Building Games (Part 3) and close to 1,000 people registered!  Wow!  (and a big WELCOME! to our new facilitators that found me through these sessions.)  It focused on different games than the first sessions (Part 1 & 2).  If you missed the first two sessions, the recordings are on our YouTube Channel.  Feel free to hit the ‘subscribe’ button so you get a notification whenever we upload a new video!  Here is a link to the free downloadable handout that accompanies both workshops.  Feel free to share this with anyone who might be interested.

I’m still working on the handout for last weeks session:  Virtual Team Building Games – Part 3.  This session focused on different activities than the first two sessions that are more synchronous.  I created them in Google Slides so participants can be working together in more ‘real time’ team activities.  (As opposed to one person controlling a screen and everyone else verbally guiding.)  I’m LOVING some of these new tweaks and have gotten some GREAT feedback from several facilitators that have put them into practice.  Here’s a link to the recording.   Here is a downloadable document for all of the Quick Links to the activities mentioned in the recording.  It includes direct links to all of the activity assets so you can start playing with them right away!
And two last things:
1.  Special 50% off pricing ends tomorrow, April 30th for my Online Experiential Facilitation 101 course!  This course is usually $975, so it’s a screaming deal at 50% off!  This course teaches 45 essential facilitation skills through experiential activities.  It’s a self-paced course that teaches a plethora of tools, techniques and philosophies within experiential facilitation.  Just enter the code ‘supportlearning‘ when checking out and it will apply the discount.  Also, if you work for an organization or university/college that would be interested in offering this course in the fall to your students for college credit, email me back and we can set up a time to discuss it in more detail.
But don’t take my word for it, here’s what some of our past participants say about the course:

2.  As a reminder, our warehouse is still open to ship orders!  So if you have budget dollars you need to spend or any needs for support materials, I would love any support you can give to my small business so I can keep my staff employed for the long run.  Thank you!

Best wishes to you and your loved ones to be healthy, safe and to stay virtually connected.

Have fun out there,
