I’m a big fan of quotes. One of my all time favorites is from Zig Ziglar: “People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” I love it! It makes me giggle almost every time I read it. So simple, yet gets the message across.
In the Training Wheels office we sometimes start our day with quotes or quips. Some of the sayings are inspirational, some are silly to get the day started with a laugh. We use quote boxes like our Inspirational Quote Wheelies or Daily Strategies that have quotes printed on individual cards. Each person picks a quote out of the box and reads it aloud to the group. They then share their quick thoughts on that quote and then the next person shares their quote. Only takes about 5 minutes and it starts the day out on the right foot
I also found a silly deck of cards called ‘Slang Flashcards’ that really start the day with a giggle. Each card in the deck has a common-day street slang word printed on them and then gives an example of how to use it in a sentence. Each staff member reads aloud their word and sentence, then has to use their word in a sentence sometime throughout the day in the office. Makes for fun and silly conversations all day long.
